Clarification about two festivals
It is hereby
notified, that the registered body of Performers Independent (Registered under
West Bengal Act XXVI of 1961 NO S/1L/96269 of 2012-13) is organising only one
festival named Kolkata International Performance Art Festival.
On different
social media platforms, we can see another festival with the same name, which
is also promoted as oraganised by Performers Independent. This duplicate body
has no relationship with the registered body of the organization.
May be some
of our fellow artists, friends, colleagues are attached with the other festival;
hence it is not an option for us to go into any legal process. But this sort plagiarism
is not expected, hence this clarification note.
